I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of California, San Diego. My research interests are in causal inference, experimental design and analysis, immigration policy, survey methodology, political economy, and computational social science.
I am a faculty affiliate of the Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute at UC San Diego, a member of the Advisory Board of the Center for Comparative Immigration Studies at UC San Diego, and a faculty affiliate of the Immigration Policy Lab at Stanford University and ETH Zurich.
My research has appeared or is forthcoming in Science, American Political Science Review, Political Analysis, Journal of Politics, Statistical Science, Political Science Research and Methods, Nature Human Behaviour, and Journal of the Royal Statistical Society: Series A.
